The Drain Surgeon franchisees are primarily engaged in emergency maintenance plumbing, a service which is virtually unaffected by the ups and downs of the general economy. Regular advertising campaigns using radio advertising (Radio Jacaranda), the internet and local media have made The Drain Surgeon a household name and has resulted in a very successful franchise system that have withstood the test of time. Currently there are 41 Drain Surgeon franchised areas nationwide and the numbers are growing rapidly.
New franchisees receive training in the respective business’s unique and successful business methods. Franchisees will be expected to be involved in the business, attending to quoting, quality control and general management whilst qualified plumbers will carry out the service. Bulk purchasing, group advertising and ongoing support from head office, will greatly enhance the chances for business success.
The establishment of The Drain Surgeon will require a total investment of between R350k and R400k (ex VAT). This amount is a combination of the franchisee fee* (R125k ex VAT), working capital (R150k) and start up costs (R80k). With the groups’ good name and well earned reputation, most banks and finance institutions consider our applications favourably
